A gift to bring or send.
And more than just the likeness of
A relative or friend.

It is a kindly greeting and
A memory to hold.
Of happy times and pleasant things.
However new or old.

It is a mirror that reflects
Companionship and cheer.
And now and then the wistfulness
That turns into a tear.

A photograph is something to
Adorn a desk or wall.
Or carry in a pocket and
Display to one and all.

It is a faithful portrait
The smile that friendship shares
To add its sunshine and to sho
That someone really cares.

Father/Daughter Dance

Every little girl's first love is her Daddy. I covered a father/daughter dance celebrating this bond on February 13. A couple pictures from that (I had others but the blog keeps turning them sideways!)...

Swing Into Spring Promotion

The Swing Into Spring promotion begins on March 17. Now taking bookings. This sitting will involve one of three different types of swings and a spring background. Remember there is never a sitting fee as long as an order is placed and a down payment on the order made at the sitting. Every sitting will receive a free photo! Bookings will be limited so email me now at thanksforkids@aol.com to reserve your place. Once the bookings are filled I will be moving on to Easter photos so don't miss out on these special sittings!

ANOTHER UPDATE ON BRIDAL/ENGAGEMENT/WEDDING SITTINGS

One more update on the above mentioned sittings. I have had a very good response to my request for doing portfolio shots for engagements, bridal and wedding portraits. I have confirmed bookings for both the bridal and engagement sittings so those are no longer available but if you are interested in either of those at regular rates, please feel free to contact me by email at thanksforkids@aol.com and I will quote you my regular, reasonable rates. As for the wedding booking, I have been in talks with one couple who have as of yet to confirm a contract meeting so if you are still interested in that, I will still make it available to the first couple I actually confirm by contract with. Blessings to everyone and congratulations on your upcoming weddings and recent engagements. It is my privilege and pleasure to be a part of capturing your everlasting memories. I pray you will have a long and happy union together.

Engagement Couple/Bride/Wedding Party Wanted

As we near the end of the year and look forward to a new beginning in a New Year, it makes us think of weddings. I am looking for three different types of people to be offered a VERY special price on their photos. First I am looking for a couple who need engagement photos done, second a bride to be needing a bridal portrait done and third a couple who will be getting married and need a photographer. The engagement photo package will be $45 for the session, all pictures on CD that you can print from, a DVD set to music, and a 5 x 7 portrait. The bridal sitting will include the session, all pictures on CD that you can print from and (2) 5 x 7 portraits for $50. The wedding session will include a full day of photography for your special day from beginning to end. This will include any and all locations you choose, whatever events you choose (such as the bride getting ready at hair appointment, getting dressed, attendants before the wedding, same for groom, the wedding, the formal portraits sessions and the reception from beginning to end). You choose, we'll provide. This will also include all photos on CD which you may print from and (2) 8 x 10 portraits plus a very special surprise. The cost for this session will be $210. These openings are for these three sessions only and once they are filled, they will no longer be available. Wrapping Up Holiday Shoots

Well we are down to the last couple holiday shoots! It has been such a great experience already this year and I continue to learn more and more about great ways to capture your memories affordably. The selective coloring has become a very popular item with my customers as well as a new mirage effect we can do on certain pictures. Below are some shots from a couple of the recent shoots. Thanks to the Harding family for the opportunity to do their shoot this past weekend. We are now taking bookings for our "Swing Into Spring" sessions which will take place in March. These sessions will include either a plain or spring background and your choice of a swing prop...either the wooden log swing, a white wicker swing or one other type to be determined. Book your session now before they fill up!
