Sorrow in my heart

I've said so many times how it is such a privilege to be allowed into the lives of my clients and to capture their "heartprints" for them at different special occasions and milestones in their lives. I've cried over Santa and Me sessions while watching their children interact and enjoy their time with Santa, I've celebrated birthdays, graduations, baby showers and newborn moments with them and more. They all become a part of my own family. I love them all dearly. Never has the impact of them on my life been so boldly apparent as it is this day. On Saturday, a young mother that I did family photos of in July, along with her 10 month old son and unborn child, were killed in a horrible accident. My heart goes out to her young husband, her father, stepmother and step brother and sister (whom I do a lot of portraits for) in this terrible time. I know the only solace I can take in this is that they have very recent photos to remember her and her son by (so please be sure you have yours taken as often as you can...they don't have to be professional...even snapshots will be treasured) and that God's plan is perfect and He had a wonderful reason for calling these two angels home to be with Him. Godspeed Kristen and Xander Janero..your beautiful bright shining smiles will forever be emblazened on my heart and I will always be a much better person for having known you such a short, sweet time.

Excited for Santa!!

We are getting so excited for Santa's visit next weekend! We can hardly contain our excitement and can nearly hear the sound of sleigh bells ringing in our ears! We still have a few openings left on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5. We would love to have the opportunity to capture heartprints of your children with the jolly elf this Christmas! So you think you can't get a good photo with Santa because your little one is afraid? Fear not! We GUARANTEE one great, unique shot with Santa for everybody. There's no need to make anyone cry for goodness sake! Santa would never want anyone to cry and he's very good with children! :) Oh and don't worry about having more than one child! Your $45 covers the session for however many children in your family that you put in the shots!

Santa Says!

Santa says he can't wait to visit the studio on December 4 and 5! Limited bookings available for the creative, unique photos with the big guy in red! SANTA DATES!

Santa Claus is comin' to town! To our studio in fact! The big guy in red will be here on December 4 and December 5 for photos with the little ones (or the big ones-hey he loves them all!). This mini session will be $45 which includes the session fee and all photos on CD, which will be delivered to you within 8 days. We guarantee AT LEAST one shot with Santa!! Book now as these will go quickly. We will also be doing Angels Among Us with angel gowns and wings and halos, etc. on December 6 and 7 and that mini session will be $42.

Wrapping Up Holiday Shoots

Well we are down to the last couple holiday shoots! It has been such a great experience already this year and I continue to learn more and more about great ways to capture your memories affordably. The selective coloring has become a very popular item with my customers as well as a new mirage effect we can do on certain pictures. Below are some shots from a couple of the recent shoots. Thanks to the Harding family for the opportunity to do their shoot this past weekend. We are now taking bookings for our "Swing Into Spring" sessions which will take place in March. These sessions will include either a plain or spring background and your choice of a swing prop...either the wooden log swing, a white wicker swing or one other type to be determined.
